Temporary Rule Addressing COVID-19 Workplace Risks

Description:

Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division issued a new temporary rule to address COVID-19 exposure in the workplace, including mandatory workplace guidance for construction operations. This rule took effect November 16, 2020, and will remain in effect until May 4, 2021.

California Approves Emergency Temporary Standard

Description:

The state of California voted unanimously on Nov. 19 to adopt an emergency COVID-19 worker protection that will require employers to make virus pretention measures part of their injury and illness prevention programs. The rule will be temporary for six months but could be renewed for 90 days at a time.
